More infrastructure upgrades are coming to Randy Wilson Track in Knoxville. After the installation of an artificial football field, Business Manager Craig Mobley says the school board approved necessary upgrades as more teams will begin using the facility.

“With our investment in our turf project, we were able to kill two birds with one stone on this. One item we’ve needed out there for the events is fiber optic cable to have the ability to stream an event; we’ll be able to do that now. Part of the same project is adding security cameras. We had a major investment in the turf, and we’d like to keep that protected as much as possible.”

The project was approved for $22,711, and will be paid for by the district’s PPEL/SAVE funds. Learn more about the project here.
