Today is the last day to request a mailed absentee ballot from the Marion County Auditor’s Office, but in-person absentee voting remains open at the courthouse through the day before Election Day. Marion County Auditor Jake Grandia says any registered voter in the county is eligible to vote with this method.
“You’ll just need to fill out the application request, just like through the mail. We have those at our window, you’ll fill out when you come in. If you aren’t registered or have a change, we’ll have to go through either an Election Day registration process or change process. But we can take care of you as long as you bring your proper identification. We’ll get you taken care of, it just may take a couple more steps.”
Absentee voting is available at the Marion County Courthouse during regular business hours through November 1st.
