A grand reopening was held Sunday afternoon at Katy-Did’s General Store in Bussey. On July 4th, an unattended vehicle parked at the intersection of 5th and Merrill in Bussey rolled into another vehicle, then crossed Merrill, striking the store. The entrance of the store was destroyed, and no one was injured. Owner Candy Evans is grateful for the community support throughout the rebuilding process.

“It warms my heart, it really does. I can’t get over the support this town has shown me time and time again.”

A ribbon cutting was held, and those in attendance enjoyed complimentary hot dogs.
