Pleasantville’s cross country squad will be competing at Pekin for their state-qualifying meet Thursday, and their best finish of the regular season was their second meet of the year at Central Decatur.

The Trojans had fourth-place finishes for both the boys and girls at the Central Decatur Invitational September 7th. The girls’ top finisher was freshman Kyleigh McConnell, who placed 14th overall with a time of 24:25. Sophomore Madilyn Rowson was second on the Trojans, placing 22nd with a time of 26:39. The boys’ top finisher was freshman Kurt Kuhnen, who placed 16th overall with a time of 19:51. Second was Jenkin Fulmer, who finished right behind him at 17th overall with a time of 19:53.

Pleasantville’s state-qualifying meet at Pekin will be Thursday at 5:00 PM.
