Indianola Parks and Rec featured Dr. Bob Leonard as part of their Afternoon Adventures Speaker Series Tuesday, discussing his book Deep Midwest. Becky Lane with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News Dr. Bob held a fascinating discussion on his work as a writer, and the audience greatly appreciated the work.

“We had a great time this afternoon. Bob talked about his writings and what motivates him to write what inspires him. He is a pretty amazing writer, he looks at things very differently and makes us stop and think about everyday life in the midwest.”

Approximately 20 people attended the event, which was sponsored by Community 1st Credit Union.
