For the second straight year, Knoxville Cross Country Runner Seth Walraven will run at the class 3A State Meet in Fort Dodge this Friday. Walraven has had a goal of getting back to state after finishing 70th last season. He tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that, using fellow runners he knew would also have a chance to make a run to state, pushed him to run faster during his state qualifier last Wednesday. Walraven adds he ran the last part of the race with Pella’s Akira Lopez, knowing he was also a fast runner that would push him. Walraven finished 12th on Wednesday in a time of 17:26 to qualify him for his second career State Meet, which he will run on Friday in Fort Dodge.
