The Norwalk volleyball team is one win away from a state tournament appearance. To get there, they’ll travel to the city in which the state tournament is held to take on Cedar Rapids Xavier in the Class 4A Region 4 final.

The Warriors made it to this round with a home victory over Carlisle and a road win over Winterset, giving up just one set to the opponents in that span. The Saints are 28-4, with two of those losses coming in the last six games. They had a first round postseason bye, and made quick work of Newton in Thursday’s semifinal. Xavier boasts one of the best kill efficiencies and serve efficiencies in all of Class 4A.

A win would be Norwalk’s first ever state tournament appearance, while Xavier looks to return for the fifth time in six years. Tonight’s match begins at 7:00 p.m. at Xavier High School in Cedar Rapids.
