The Simpson Storm fall sports teams were in action over the weekend.

The Storm men’s and women’s soccer teams were victorious on the road Saturday in Cedar Rapids, the women blanking the Kohawks 3-0 while the men also earned a shutout 2-0.
The Simpson women got a goal from Megan Roberts to take the lead in the 23rd minute, with Cassie Nash earning another two goals later in the contest to bring her goal total to 12, which is tied for the top of the conference.

The Storm men went ahead as freshman Espoire Nkomezi scored his first career goal for the Storm in the 21st minute and junior Andrew Russell added another just 74 seconds later to lift Simpson to a 2-0 lead in the first half, then played solid defense for the rest of the contest. The women are now 5-2 in conference play and the #3 seed in the ARC tournament, while the men are now 4-2-1 and both teams will play Nebraska Wesleyan this evening at Buxton Stadium.

The Storm volleyball team fell to Wartburg on Friday and Coe on Saturday in a pair of 3-0 contests. The Storm are now 4-3 in the conference standings and sit as the 4th seed, and match up with Buena Vista on Wednesday.
