Twin Cedars Runner Rylee Dunkin has used hills this season to prepare her not only for individual meets, but to get that extra push she needs at the end. While there were not many hills on the course at the State Qualifier last week, and the course at Fort Dodge is generally flat, she credits the work on the hills for her ability to finish races.

Dunkin: “They’re where you make your money, you gotta beat the people going up and going down, and ther weather did play a factor, but you can’t use that as an excuse, you just go out there and compete hard.”

Dunkin finished in 2nd place last week at the State Qualifier, and is going for her third straight All-State performance Saturday at Fort Dodge.
