The 4th-ranked Pella boys cross country team and two individuals from the girls squad are aiming to end the season strong at Fort Dodge Friday during the State Meet.
In the boys race, Pella entered the preseason as the No. 3 team and enter the final week of the year in the 4th spot — where they finished in 2020. Head Coach Doug Cutler says if they can be at their best this week after a solid race at the district meet, there’s no reason why they can’t come home with a top three finish and a trophy on the bus ride back.
Reagan Snieder enters her first state meet as the 10th ranked runner in Class 3A. While teammate Autumn Blink finds herself just outside of the Top 30 pre-meet runners, both have eyes on having strong finishes to their state experience to serve as motivation entering the offseason for their young varsity team.
Races in Fort Dodge for the 2021 3A state cross country meet begin at 2:30 with the girls and 3:15 for the boys.
