A former Pella Dutch kicker is continuing to excel at the collegiate level.

Chase Carter at Morningside was this week’s Great Plains Athletic Conference/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week. Carter played a pivotal role in the Mustangs’ top 15 NAIA showdown win over Dordt. He became just the third player in program history to convert four field goals in a game and was also perfect in extra points. Carter has the national lead in made and attempted point-after tries with 55.

Carter was a key special teams member of the 2019 national championship Morningside team and served as kicker for Pella in 2018, making 47/48 PATs and 4/5 FG tries with 17 touchbacks.
