The Indianola football team hosts the Wildcats of Carlisle tonight in their class 4A opening round of postseason play at Indianola stadium, facing off against their district opponent for the second time this season. The Indians previously dispatched the Wildcats 38-14 through a strong running game, and head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports both teams will gain advantages from playing each other a second time.
“You just cannot simulate the physicality and the speed of the dive option, veer option offense that they run, you just can’t simulate that look with the scout team. So it took us awhile to get that figured out how they are blocking, especially on defense. I really felt on offense we played pretty efficient and was one of our better games.”
The game tonight can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA and the Indianola Activities YouTube stream, with pregame beginning at 6:30pm and kickoff scheduled for 7pm.
