While employment rates continue to improve, businesses and organizations of all sizes are still feeling a shortage of available help, and that coupled with supply chain issues, has made for an uncertain winter ahead.

Pella Corporation CEO Tim Yaggi says they have felt the same impacts as many have in trying to attract and recruit talent, and shortages or delays in critical items for their products have had a ripple effect across their lines.

Yaggi says they continue to invest locally to try and bolster the local workforce, but he believes there are no easy solutions in trying to get those two issues on track going forward.

Yaggi recently co-hosted a forum with the PACE Alliance with the Iowa Business Council, to share challenges and successes as it relates to cultivating a workforce pipeline and proactive steps leaders can take to grow thriving communities that attract and retain talent.
