Pleasantville’s cross country squad’s best meet of the season was when they traveled to Central Decatur.

On September 7, the Trojans traveled to the Leon Golf Course in Central Decatur for their second meet of the season. Both teams finished with fourth-place finishes in the meet. Pleasantville’s girls finished behind the host, Mount Ayr, and Chariton. The Trojans’ top finisher was freshman Kyleigh McConnell, who placed 14th individually with a time of 24:25. Pleasantville’s boys finished behind the host, Chariton, and Wayne. The Trojans’ top finisher was freshman Kurt Kuhnen, who placed 16th individually with a time of 19:51.

Pleasantville’s season ended in the state-qualifying round at Pekin last Thursday.
