City council and school board candidates will appear on the ballot in Tuesday’s general election.

The Knoxville City Council has three seats up for election, with no contested races. Dylan Morse and Megan Suhr are running unopposed for reelection, while Dawn Rankin is running unopposed to fill a two-year vacancy.

The Knoxville School Board has four candidates running for two open seats. The candidates include Monica Sullivan, Jason Everly, Dave Woodcock, and incumbent Larry Scott.

Knoxville residents will also have the option to renew the city’s longstanding one percent Local Option Sales & Service Tax. This will not increase the tax rate, as it has been in effect for 20 years.

KNIA/KRLS will have full coverage of local elections Tuesday evening, with results available on-air and online when they are released.
