Pella Ambulance, Pella Fire, and Pella Police combined to host the city’s first trunk or treat event with first responders Saturday. Hundreds of children in costumes and their friends and families stopped between the Pella Community Ambulance building and Pella Fire Station on Main Street to meet local heroes while receiving treats. The event was organized by Pella Ambulance and included members of all three departments coming together during regular Beggar’s Night activities in the Tulip City.
