Indianola Parks and Rec and the Indianola Public Library held their annual Halloween events Saturday, with Parks and Rec hosting the annual Children’s Costume Party on the square and the Library holding the annual Trunk or Treat in the library parking lot.
Children, families, and man’s best friend dressed up for the Children’s Costume Party, with prizes, games, and competitions for best overall costume and themed costumes held. The KNIA Big Red Radio was on location playing music and making announcements.
The various city departments converged on the library parking lot later in the evening, with a hot dog dinner provided, with candy and themed decorations provided by city equipment and staff, in competition for the coveted “Silver Pumpkin Award.”
