The 2021 American Rivers Conference Volleyball Tournament begins tonight, with the tournament winner receiving the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Tonight, #5 seed Central begins their quest for their first conference tournament title since 2007 with a road trip to #4 seed Dubuque.

Central finished the regular season 15-12 and 4-4 in conference play. However, the Dutch will look to regain momentum after losing the final two games of the regular season. Dubuque finished 11-17 overall and 4-4 in conference play, and won a three-way tie with the Dutch and Simpson for the #4 seed. The Spartans have won three of four entering the contest. Central defeated Dubuque 3-2 in Pella in the regular season.

Tonight’s match begins at 7:00 p.m. inside the Stoltz Sports Center in Dubuque. The winner earns a trip to undefeated #1 seed Wartburg Friday for the semifinal.
