The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening. In public comment, Acting Indianola Police Chief Brian Sher and Fire Chief Greg Chia expressed their thanks to City Manager Ryan Waller for supporting the departments and listening and acting on their needs to serve the community during his tenure, and awarded Waller with a plaque of thanks. Waller has accepted a position as City Manager in Marion, and will be leaving in the near future.

The council postponed appointments to the Human Relations Commission, and approved payment and schedule for the East Iowa Paving Project, the vacation and conveyance of an alley, Ordinance Amendments due to State of Iowa Legislative changes, a resolution adopting Council Policy for Hotel/Motel Tax Funding for Community and External Organizations, and a resolution amending the snow and ice removal policy to add snow routes, before going into closed session to discuss litigation and employee reviews.
