A Knoxville man has been arrested after an investigation which began in September. On September 8th, detectives with the Mid Iowa Narcotics Task Force performed a “knock and talk” at the residence of 19-year-old Daniel Ramaeker due to information from the Knoxville Police Department that the distribution of illegal narcotics was taking place.

Ramaeker agreed to have a conversation with the detectives, and admitted to selling “wax marijuana” and possessing other paraphernalia in the residence. At this time, Ramaeker consented to a search of his residence. A wax substance with an odor of marijuana was located in a safe, to which Ramaeker provided the key. Also located were digital scales, packaging material, and small plastic containers. Ramaeker was advised that an investigation would be pending, and all materials were taken to the Knoxville Police Department. The total weight was 44.9 grams.

The arrest warrant was served Sunday. Ramaeker is charged with Intent to Deliver and Failure to affix Drug Tax Stamp, which are both Class D felonies. Bond is set at $5,000, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 4th.
