One of the big emphasis for the Knoxville Volleyball Squad the past few seasons has been Saturday tournaments. The Panthers have always made it a goal to win Saturday tournaments and this season that was finally realized with their 1st place finish in the Pella Christian Invitational. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that there will still be an emphasis moving forward as will the non-conference head-to-head matches.

Keitges: “Overall I think in tournaments we played with high energy and that’s important to us and moving forward that’s a big piece we can build on.”

The Panthers final record was 25-13, but went 17-9 in Saturday tournament action. Keitges adds they may have to drop a head-to-head non-conference match with Winterset next year due to Cardinal coming into the South Central Conference and the need to add a space for that match.
