Knoxville’s races were all unopposed. Brian Hatch was reelected as Knoxville’s mayor. Megan Suhr and Dylan Morse have been reelected to the Knoxville City Council. Dawn Rankin has been elected to fill a two-year vacancy on the Knoxville City Council. The Local Option Sales Tax passed, with 564 yes votes to 160 no votes.
The Pleasantville City Council had three candidates running for two open seats, with Jon Koehn and Jordan Van Ness coming out as the top vote-getters. Brandon Pennington was elected mayor after running unopposed. The city’s public measure passed with 73 percent voting yes.
Larry Pinegar won an unopposed race for Bussey Mayor. Stephanie Sterner and Leann Sanders were elected to the Bussey City Council unopposed. The public measure passed 44 to 15.
The City of Hamilton had a contested mayoral race, with Justin Pinegar defeating John Davis 10 to eight. Diane King, Aron Burk and Stormie DeShaw were the three candidates appearing on the Hamilton City Council ballot for five open seats. There were 15 write-in votes.
Harvey had a race for Mayor, as Dennis Seibert defeated Martin Heaton 57 to 21. Seven individuals ran for five open Harvey City Council seats, which were filled by Leonard Geery, Jamie Vander Veer, Kathy Shreiner, and Donald Nilius. Adam Dubois and Sue Ver Meer each received 38 votes, which tied for the fifth most.
Marysville had no candidates on the ballot for Mayor or City Council. There were three write-in votes for mayor, and six for city council.
Terry Fisher ran uncontested, and was elected as Melcher-Dallas Mayor. Doyle Brown and Kevin Cottington were voted into the Melcher-Dallas City Council from a pool of five candidates. Sara Lewin was elected to fill a Melcher-Dallas City Council vacancy.
Swan had no candidates on the ballot. There were six write-ins for mayor and 29 write-ins for city council.
