PCM’s cross country squad did have a rollercoaster season with youth and injuries, but Coach Eric Karr found successes in the meets they competed in.
The Mustangs girls’ had two top-four finishes this season, which were at their home tournament and at Pleasantville. PCM’s boys had a top four finish September ninth at Davis County. Coach Eric Karr tells KRLS Sports that he found little successes that he can build on for the 2022 season.
“I think we are probably judged a whole lot this year on not having anybody qualify for state. That truly is how a varsity sport is judged, but there were a lot of successes this year and I think looking at the kids coming back next year and who’s coming up from middle school from eighth graders to freshmen next year, there’s a lot to be excited about. There is a lot to look forward to.”
Karr also states that he was proud of the senior class and their production they showed throughout the 2021 season. PCM’s season ended in the state-qualifying meet at Williamsburg.
