A new housing option is coming to the south side of Knoxville. Terrace View by Kading is a new development that will be built near the Knoxville Walmart on Bell Avenue. Carrie Woerdeman with Kading Properties says this will bring much-needed housing to Knoxville for people who aren’t quite ready for the commitment of owning a home.

“It’s for the folks who don’t qualify for the ‘Affordable’ housing units that are being built, but either can’t afford or aren’t interested in committing to purchasing a house. It’s a new construction that offers private front door, attached garage, and everything is single-level living, so it’s very conducive to accessibility. It’s that option for people who are working class, or empty-nesters ready to downsize, giving an option in the community.”

155 units will be constructed, with two and three-bedroom options. Rent prices are estimated to range from $750 to $1,100. The property is scheduled to open in fall 2022.
