The Christmas season is on the horizon in Pella, with a full slate of activities returning to the Tulip City between now and late December.

Jill Vandevoort with Visit Pella says several community organizations and businesses are partnering to bring events to the community to enhance the shopping experience for residents and visitors alike.

The first of those activities are horse-drawn carriage rides starting this weekend, with hot cocoa, visits with Santa, and carolers coming through downtown Pella later this month. The annual De Kerstdagen Tour of Stores and Christmas Tree lighting returns on Monday, November 22nd, with several activities at the Pella Historical Village, Pella Opera House, Central College, and the Union Street Players following on the schedule between then and Christmas.
