With six seniors departing the Knoxville Volleyball Program after this season, there will be competition for playing time and starting roles next year. The Panthers will need an outside and middle hitter, a designated server and other positions off the bench. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports competition for varsity roles will be intense and the offseason means more than even for her team.
Keitges: “Really in every aspect we’re going to need kids to step up and we have kids that are working hard and we’re going to have a lot of competition for spots next year.”
Knoxville will lose two of its top five in kills with the graduations of Abby Wadle and Charlee Heffron, plus Kira Deaver’s serving as she was second on the team with 41 aces.
