This weekend is the final opportunity to watch “Shrek The Musical” performed by the Knoxville Area Community Theatre. Director Marty Adkins says to expect a deeper story than the original version.

“This is a retelling of the story we’ve all been introduced to, but it takes a fresh look at it. We get a backstory of Shrek and Fiona, about their childhood. We have a lot of emotional depth. There’s beautiful music that adds a lot of feeling and emotional depth.”

The remaining performances will be today at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. Click here to purchase tickets.
