Another large donation has made it to the Pella Police Department’s K-9 fundraiser. The Vermeer Charitable Organization gave $18,000 to the project aiming to bring a dog to the force. This comes after the Pella Rolscreen Foundation made a donation of the same size. Captain Paul Haase says the goal is $75,000 for a new K-9, training, a specialty vehicle, care and maintenance, and equipment.
