The Knoxville Girls Cross Country Squad saw continued progress this season and were led by different runners nearly every meet. While Norah Pearson was out for most of the season, she was able to run in a few meets leading the Panthers each time. Coach Mikayla Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports her five seniors were very valuable to leading the team and giving guidance throughout the season.

Splavec: “We had 5 seniors, two of them were captains, Olivia Maasdam and Dani Johnston. Kenzie Kincaid really showed up and ran well in the district, so we will miss them, but we hope they’re successful in life.”

With the departure of the five seniors, who were Olivia Maasdam, Dani Johnston, Taylor Jones, Kenzie Kincaid, and Gracie Smith, Splavec sees a good class of juniors ready to take the leadership roles next fall.
