Pleasantville’s football squad showed how strong they are running the football with how many players carried the ball.
Dillon Ammons led the Trojans in rushing in 2021, rushing for 452 yards and seven touchdowns. Pleasantville also had two other players rush for 100 yards or more in 2021, who were Jacob Hiemstra and Jonah Schumacher. Overall, the Trojans averaged 3.5 yards per carry and 1,080 yards with 14 touchdowns. Their best performance was on the road at Van Buren County in Week Seven. Pleasantville rushed for 323 yards and five scores in a 45-8 blowout. Four different players ran for touchdowns, who were Hiemstra, Schumacher, Ammons, and Caleb Cook.
Pleasantville finished the season with a 4-5 record and a 2-3 record in Class 1A District 6 play in 2021.
