Much of the Melcher-Dallas Football Squad was made up of freshmen and sophomores this season. Only three seniors were on the squad and while those seniors will be missed next season, the future is with the younger players. Coach Pat Ferguson tells KNIA Sports his younger players were forced into some impossible situations but they came back ready for the next game.

Ferguson “They knew at the beginning of the season they were getting thrown to the wolves and they took their beatings but came back ready to go again, and we won a few here and there.”

Melcher-Dallas finished 3-6 on the season and will return many players from this season’s squad.
