Chances for rain and significant cooling are in the forecast starting today. Widespread showers could drop between ½” to 1” of rain over most of the state by Thursday morning. Following the rain comes a break from well-above average weather, as a strong cold front will bring much cooler air to the region by Thursday through early next week. Daytime highs starting Friday will drop to near 40 and overnight lows below freezing. A few brief snow flurries are possible, according to the National Weather Service, but nothing measurable is in the forecast. Stay tuned to 92.1 KRLS for the latest weather information.
