Norwalk senior baseball player Dylan Christensen signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his career at Kirkwood Community College. He says the decision to go there was due to a family connection in the baseball program.

“Kirkwood really stood out to me from all the schools I looked at, especially the coaching staff there. The coaching staff is special. My brother is there right now, and he really likes it too, so that really helped with my decision. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Christensen will join the pitching staff at Kirkwood. In his junior season at Norwalk he started seven games and appeared in 11 on the mound, giving up just 17 hits while racking up 50 strikeouts. He’ll play one final baseball season in a Norwalk uniform before joining the Eagles next fall.
