Jefferson Intermediate School honored veterans for their service with their returning Veterans Day ceremony Thursday morning.

Students from the school sang patriotic songs, read letters to service members, and asked questions of members of American Legion Post 89 in Pella about their time in the military.

Prior to the ceremony, the Pella Hy-Vee served 340 meals to veterans and their families, nearly 3/4ths of which were delivered through their pick-up service.
