Both Central basketball teams were in action Friday in weekend tournaments. The Dutch women fell to Augustana 70-54 in the first round of the Coe College Tournament in Cedar Rapids. The Dutch fall to 0-2 and take on Westminster today at 2:00.

The men’s basketball team picked up its first win of the season in the first round of the Bill Merris Tournament in Jacksonville, Illinois, defeating Blackburn 63-59. They’ll play in the championship round today.

Today, the wrestling team takes part in the Millikin Open at 9:30 a.m. The cross country teams are in Rock Island, Illinois for the Midwest Regional qualifier at 11:00 a.m. The women’s triathlon team is at the national championships in Tempe, Arizona, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
