Knoxville High School is hosting a “Career Week” in early January, and local presenters are needed. College Career Readiness Coordinator Tyler Pearson says over the course of three days, students will attend six presentations from representatives of local industries that fit their career interests.
“The kids will get a list of everyone that’s available. They’ll pick their top choices, and then we’ll schedule them into what we can, hopefully their top choices. They’ll attend two sessions each of those three days. The kids completely have choice in it, they get to go to their interests or passion areas.”
To fulfill the needs of the program, KCSD is seeking local presenters from the following industries:
Agriculture and Natural Resources
Information Solutions
Applied Science, Technology, Engineering, and Manufacturing
Health and Human Services
Business, Finance, Marketing, and Management
The 45-minute sessions will be January 5th, 6th and 7th between 1:35 and 3:15 p.m. at Knoxville High School. Those interested in presenting can find out how to get involved here. The deadline to sign up is December 3rd.
