Norwalk senior Raegan Levi signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her track and field career at Nebraska Wesleyan University. She says the welcoming atmosphere of the program was a key factor in deciding where to attend.
“I got contacted by the head coach in June. I had been talking to a lot of different coaches in a lot of different programs, but he was the most personable to me. I took my official visit in July, and they welcomed me with open arms. I took another visit in September, had lunch with some of the girls on the team, and I told them there that I wanted to commit there, and they basically threw a party they were so excited. It was nice to feel welcomed.”
Levi was a state qualifier last season in three relays and the 200 meter dash. She also was a member of the Norwalk cross country program, but will only take part in track & field at Nebraska Wesleyan. Levi was one of 11 Norwalk student-athletes who signed their letters of intent Wednesday.
