After graduating multiple key players from last year’s team, the offensive line for Pella Christian was the unit that had the most questions surrounding it coming into the 2021 football season.
Those questions quickly went away as the offense hit on all cylinders from the first snap of the season. The offensive line played a vital role to the Eagles offense being top five in touchdowns and top ten yards in Class 1A. Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski credited the offensive line for allowing the offense to have that level of success.
“I really thought it was a very cohesive group. I thought it was a hardworking group. I thought they improved a ton, they came into the season after working hard in the offseason to prepare, and I thought they improved a ton. They were also a high-energy group. I often use the analogy that your offensive line is the motor of the offense, and that your receivers, running backs, and quarterbacks are the wheels and all the other parts that give you traction. So I thought we had a really strong motor this year and am excited about next year for them.”
All five offensive lineman were juniors this season, and will be a big key towards Pella Christian’s hopes of reaching the UNI-Dome in 2022.
