Former Knoxville Tennis Standout Josalin McKeever is playing at Cornell College in Mount Vernon. McKeever, a freshman for the Rams, is 2-2 in singles and 1-2 in doubles this fall. McKeever tells KNIA/KRLS Sports at the college game she has discovered that placing the ball and moving your opponent around is more important than just hitting a winning shot past your opponent.

McKeever: “I went from just hitting in high school, to working hard to running and making my opponent run. I’m happy with how I adjusted.”

McKeever adds she is building off of what she learned in high school which was how to read the court and adding to that in college. Unfortunately for McKeever her season was cut short due to an ACL injury in September. She says the rehabilitation process is going well and hopes to resume her career during the spring portion of the season in March or April. Listen for an interview with McKeever on this week’s Radio Sports Page Wednesday at 6:00pm and Thursday at 10:00am on KNIA/KRLS.
