The Pella Christian Volleyball team competed in five regular season tournaments this season, and took second place in two of them. It wasn’t until the last weekend of the regular season that the Eagles got that elusive regular season tournament title.

The Eagles traveled to Knoxville for the Panthers’ home tournament with hopes of winning the tournament, after the Panthers won the Pella Christian tournament three weeks prior. The Eagles went 2-1 in pool play, defeating a ranked Union team and ADM but falling to a ranked Holy Trinity squad. Pella Christian then got their third chance to take down Knoxville in the tournament’s semifinal round, something that Head Coach Tammi Wight and her squad were hoping would happen.

Pella Christian swept the Panthers in two sets before avenging their only loss on the weekend by sweeping Holy Trinity in two sets. The Knoxville Tournament win for Pella Christian propelled them to a 19-20 record to finish the season.
