The Marion County Board of Supervisors authorized the recount of two races from this year’s city elections in Pella.

The recounts are for Pella City Council Ward 3 and Pella City Council at-large, which have been requested by Bruce Schiebout and Tony Bokhoven respectively. Schiebout and Bokhoven both lost based on results reported on election night, with Bokhoven in a four-way race won by incumbent Mark DeJong by 17 votes and Schiebout losing the seat he holds now to Spencer Carlstone by two votes.
