The council named Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell as Interim City Manager, appointed Jackie Rafferty as City Clerk, and approved the Downtown Urban Renewal Plan updates, the rezoning of property on S K St. and S Jefferson Way, the updated fee schedule to include Residential Rental Inspections, and a resolution on the final schedule of assessments and payments for the E Iowa Paving Project.
The council also approved a development agreement with CemenTech, an agreement with the Iowa DOT for the maintenance and repair of primary roads in municipalities, recycling contracts and rates, and a contract for street improvements before going into closed session to discuss the purchase or sale of real estate.
