Norwalk senior Jocelyn Bice signed her national letter of intent last week to continue her academic and soccer career at Iowa State University. Bice was an early commit, and says she’s joining several relatives in becoming a Cyclone.

“Growing up, I’ve always been a big Iowa State fan. My mom went there and played softball, my grandparents went there, aunts and uncles went there. My freshman year, I committed there for soccer. I was trying to decide between basketball and soccer, and I chose soccer. I love the environment up there, it has a great family feel. The culture is amazing. Being able to play at the Big 12 level, where I’ll be pushed every day athletically and academically, I think it’s a good fit, and a chance for me to grow as a person.”

Bice has been a key member of the Norwalk girls soccer program her entire career, which did not include the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year she led the Warriors with 23 goals on 83 shots on goal. She also had a team leading 11 assists in leading the team to a state semifinal appearance. Hear from Bice and college-bound teammates Hailey Schreiber and Serenity Madonia on this week’s Radio Sports Page, tonight at 6:00 p.m. and tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. on KNIA/KRLS.
