With Pleasantville’s boys’ basketball’s squad returning two three-point shooters, the Trojans will look to shoot three-pointer after three-pointer in 2021-22.
The Trojans as a team struggled to shoot from beyond the arc, knocking down just under 30% of their three-pointers. Pleasantville’s top three-point shooters from last season, Mason Scheve, and Taylon Mount, will be returning to the team looking to be more aggressive from downtown. Coach Tom Wilkins says athletes Andrew Pender and Dayson Leerhoff will look to be key contributors for Pleasantville this season.
“A young man by the name of Andrew Pender that moved in is going to help us out immensely at the point guard position and be a true point guard for us. The gentleman that I eluded to earlier about not playing last year due to COVID-19, Dayson Leerhoff. He’s about 6’4”, 215 pounds, good looking kid, strong. It’s just going to take him some time because the last time he played was in eighth grade.”
The Trojans open the season November 30 at home against Melcher-Dallas.
