Central College Sophomore and Pella High School graduate Caroline McMartin gained All-NCAA Division III Midwest Region distinction in her first regional appearance for the Central College women’s cross country team and qualified for the NCAA cross country championships this Saturday.
McMartin earned an at-large berth in the NCAA Division III national meet this Saturday at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky. She is Central’s first national women’s meet qualifier since Miranda Kruiswyk in 2018.
McMartin was a four-time state cross country and three-time state track qualifier for Pella High School, earning All-State honors and the fastest 5K time in school history in the fall and was a key member of the 2018 state track and field champions girls team.
