With the 2021-22 season beginning, Pleasantville’s wrestling squad is the perfect definition of strength in numbers.

The Trojans will be returning 22 wrestlers to the mat in 2021, with just two seniors graduating last season. Pleasantville will be returning one of two state-qualifiers from last season, who is Kitt Lundy at 132 pounds. The other state-qualifier from last season is Matthew Kauffman, who finished sixth at heavyweight as a senior. The Trojans will also be bringing back district qualifiers Jesse Smith, Tyler Gibson, and Jacob Hiemstra. As Pleasantville gets ready for the season they have 30 wrestlers on the mat that are looking to compete at a high level this season.

Pleasantville’s first meet of the season is December 2, which is a quadrangular at Martensdale-St. Mary’s.
