After a three week hiatus since the State Cross Country meet, the winter sports season is set to begin tonight on Eagle Lane.

The Pella Christian girls basketball team hosts the #13 ranked team in Class 1A Montezuma tonight in the season opener. The Eagles and Bravettes opened the 2020-2021 season against each other at Montezuma, and Pella Christian upset the #8 Bravettes 63-53. The Eagles will look much different this time around as four of the top six scorers for Pella Christian aren’t back this season. Head Coach Brad Engbers knows his squad comes into the game as underdogs, but says to not count the Eagles out.

Tonight’s game between Pella Christian and Montezuma can be heard live on the KRLS2 stream or on the Pella Christian High School Youtube Channel. Pregame Coverage starts at 7 pm, followed by tip-off at 7:30 pm.
