After a dominating season-opening victory against Saydel Monday night, Pleasantville’s girls’ basketball squad were outgunned by Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Tuesday night, 64-45.
The Trojans struggled to get anything offensively in the first half as they trailed at halftime by 24 and failed to make up any ground in the second half. Malorie McKinney and Riley Thill were the only Trojans to hit double figures. McKinney led the team in scoring with 16 points. Thill had a season-high 13 while Adi Adreon finished with nine points. With the loss, Pleasantville drops to 1-1 on the season.
The Trojans will now have a full week and the Thanksgiving holiday to prepare for their next matchup, which will be November 30 at home against Melcher-Dallas.
