The Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball Squad will send an inexperienced five on the court when the Saints start the season on Tuesday. However, Coach John Suntken tells KNIA Sports their style of play will depend upon the situation of the game.

Suntken: “We want to get up and down the floor when we need to, but it depends on the situation we get into. I told the guys we need to run the floor but also slow it down and be deliberate when the situation comes up.”

Suntken adds up tempo is the style he wants to use, but if an opponent is playing a defensive style that gives his team a chance to work the ball around for a good shot they will do that as well. Melcher-Dallas begins the season on Tuesday at Pleasantville.
