After conducting over 2,900 site surveys and laying 35 miles of service lines, Pella Fiber is up and running in several zones across town.
Over 700 Pella residents have already activated their services for the City-owned and operated utility. Those who have had a site survey completed can check their status to sign up at pellafiber.com. There is a link to an interactive map near the bottom of the homepage, where potential customers can enter their address and discover whether service is active in their area, in progress or on hold.
If their area is active, customers can sign up for service by:
– Clicking the “Get Started” button on the website homepage
– Calling 641-628-4173 and connecting with Pella Fiber customer service
– Visiting the Pella Fiber office at City Hall
Then, Pella Fiber will schedule an in-home appointment to connect equipment and make service live, where activation is free.
If a customer hasn’t had a site survey or fiber installation, they can still sign up via pellafiber.com. There is no cost for the survey and no commitment to Pella Fiber services.
“We are so excited to have reached this stage,” said Telecommunications Director Doy D. Ousley. “Our customers are more important to us than numbers on a profit statement. They are our neighbors, and we want to help them by providing the high-speed connections that make their lives easier.”
If customers have questions or would like to learn more about Pella Fiber’s services, they can call 641-628-4173 or email connect@pellafiber.com.
